The Potential Of Your B&B BusinessThere are many opportunities to expand and diversify your B&B business. PRICINGThe better the quality of your home, and the more hospitality you provide the higher the price you will be able to charge. Initially you will be advised to offer rooms at a competitive price but once you are established and receiving good reports posted on our website by satisfied guests you will be able to increase your prices. We expect the initial room charge to be 1,000 to 2,400 /- per room/night. If you were booked for four nights per week per week @ 1,500/- per room/night, in one month you would receive 24,000/- and in the 8 month season nearly two lakh rupees and that is just for one room. Your only costs will be breakfast supplies, some laundry and some additional utility charges. MEALSAlthough guests will expect breakfast included in the price of their room, many will be willing, indeed eager, to pay extra for dinner and/or lunch. GUIDING TRIPS AND EXCURSIONSIf you, or a member of your family, are available and speak good English then you could offer to be a guide to your guests, and charge a fee for doing so. Your guests will love to be shown local sights by a local person, especially those sights not well known to tourists, (local markets, good local restaurants, temples, mosques and shrines and even places of work). Your guests will be very pleased to pay for your time, especially if you can stop them being overcharged and misled. However if you do register with us to guide then you must undertake not to accept commission from shops and attractions. This would ruin the trust of your guests. TRAVELIf you have a reliable car you can offer to pick your guests up and drop them off after their stay and make an appropriate charge. If you have a car and driver you may choose to offer them to your guests for a hire charge. EXTRAS
